A Mast and Tower Safety (MATS) climber medical is an assessment for those who work at extreme heights on telecom masts, radio towers, pylons and structural platforms.

The medical assesses a workers susceptibility to physical or mental incapacity, which could trigger a highly complex and dangerous high-level rescue situation.

Medical Validity:

• Under 40 years old
• Valid for 3 years (with an annual surveillance questionnaire).
• Aged 40 to 49
• Valid for 2 years (with an annual surveillance questionnaire).
• Aged 50 and over
• Valid for 1 year (requires full annual medical re-testing).
